Sulfur Lake Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Dominica |
Being part of the Turkish culture was a fantastic experience I was treated like their family and loved by everyone I met. Sometimes going around some people stared at me, but it was not off of dislike it was a unique person like myself they saw and wanted to know a bit more about me.
Food is significant in the Turkish culture every family I visit I was celebrated and loved with food which was amazing. I love the Turkish coffee, and their breakfast, not to mention bread and cheese is always at the table.
On February 9th, 2015 I remember experiencing my first snowfall in Turkey and first time ice-skating. It was so different to back home or any other islands that I’ve experienced, and I loved it “memories that I’ll take with me for a lifetime.”
After spending three fantastic weeks in Izmir, it was time to visit the big city that I’ve always seen in the movies while growing up as a child “London.” I spent three days on my first visit to London, and it was not enough to see such a beautiful city. There was a diversity of culture, language, and people everywhere I turned it was terrific.
Being out in the big city of London was breathtaking I can never forget how dumbfounded I felt, everything was so beautiful even the people. London was a fantastic experience, and I knew to myself I wanted to be part of this place someday.
After my visit to Europe, I continued my travels in the Caribbean islands as this was more affordable to me as a student. I visited Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Dominica, for a week of relaxation and exploring. The island is tiny mountainous, and the plane landing was not that smooth. I stayed at the Fort Young Hotel for almost two weeks, and it was an incredible experience.
I’m secretly in love with nature from the leaves on the tree, the mountain up high and the beautiful view of the scenery this is what makes me feel at peace “a place where you can always escape,” and that’s what Saint Vincent and the Grenadines and Dominica reminded me. Two weeks after my trip there in August 2015 it was devastated to find out that the storm badly destroyed the island.
To Be continued ...........
